We personally love the Whip-O-Will Public Boat Ramp at Badin Lake because of the many ramps and parking spaces they have.

There are several access points you can put your kayak in, or you can rent from River Daisy or Uwharrie Hoof and Paddle.
We personally love to bring our Perception kayaks as they seem to handle better on the river than whatever kayak a rental company could give to us.

To get to the cliffs put your kayak in at Tuckertown Res Boat Ramp and kayak to the cliffs. You may not be able to see the cliffs at first. Stay right of the bridge and kayak until you see a faint rock wall. It looks small at first but up close it gets bigger.
