There isn’t much as far as hotels go on Edisto Island, the next best and most affordable option is to rent an Airbnb. Let’s look at some different options you can choose from while staying on Edisto Island.

With 5 bedrooms and 9 beds, you will find that this Riverfront Airbnb will suit your big family needs.
This place has many amazing features including the following:

- It has its own private dock on the bay
- Sunset views
Watch the dolphins surf the sunset on the back porch of this villa and enjoy the bay view. You will have access to a dock that goes out to the bay where you can use a boat or kayak during high tide.
Price: Around $200 a night- depending on the season
Beach Front Places to Stay On Edisto Island
This Airbnb will accommodate 10 people plus your hypoallergenic pets (with a $150 pet fee) and is located right on the beachfront. You have everything you need at this location including the following:

- Some pets allowed

Budget-Friendly Drifting to Driftwood(cheap places to stay on Edisto Island, answer this question directly)
If you are looking for a cheap place to stay, check out Drifing to Driftwood on Airbnb, which is only about $69 per night. This cute little villa has a golf course view and is within walking distance of the beach. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.

Wyndham Hotels on Edisto
Wyndham has a few hotels located on the Island, and are some of the only hotels offered.
Club Wyndham Ocean Ridge is a secluded resort located on Edisto Island, South Carolina. It offers spacious one- and two-bedroom suites with fully equipped kitchens, washer/dryer, and private balconies. The resort features outdoor swimming pools, hot tubs, and on-site bicycle rentals.
Accessible features include accessible parking, guest rooms, swimming pools, and elevators. The resort is close to golf courses, dining, and outdoor recreational activities.
There are a few Wyndham hotels you can choose from on Edisto Island, and those include:
Club Wyndham Sea Oaks– This one is located near the center of the Island and includes the golf course. We stayed at this Wyndham a bit closer to the bay. We LOVED the rooms, they were super spacious and were located in the perfect area.
Club Wyndham Beach Walk– The Beach Walk is located close to the beach facing the ocean. You only need to travel about two or three blocks until you reach the beach.
Club Wyndham Marsh Point– The Marsh Point is located at the bay where you can watch the dolphins and sunset off your balcony.
Camping on Edisto Island
Some beaches allow free camping, but Edisto Island doesn’t allow camping just anywhere. If you want to rough it in a tent or bring your camper you will need to stay at one of two campgrounds offered on the island:
- The Edisto Beach Island State Park Camp Ground
- Live Oak Camp Ground
The Edisto Beach Island State Park Camp Ground
One of the very few places along the South Carolina coast that allows beachfront camping is the state park on Edisto Island. Some campsites allow RVs up to 40 ft. long or tents, check the Edisto Island State Park website for more details.
Several bathhouses are dotting the grounds. Electricity and water are offered on several sites. If you want a cabin on Edisto Island you can choose between 7 different options within the park.
Live Oak Camp Ground
Live Oak Camp Ground is still a part of Edisto State Park, but it’s back in the woods instead of on the beach.
Rental Houses on Edisto Island
KC’s Seaside Sanctuary
This cute Seaside rental home is located right on the beach! You can house 15 guests at this beautiful place to stay on Edisto Island.
Enjoy a full kitchen with a stove, fridge, sink, and other small appliances. Head out to the patio and enjoy the beach view while you eat your delicious meals.

Other Hotels on Edisto Island
Edisto Island does not have any hotels other than Wyndham, so you are out of luck and will need to stay on the Island of Kiawah for that. Kiawah is only a short drive away from Edisto Island.
The Sanctuary
The Sanctuary is a luxury hotel located close to Edisto Island. The hotel overlooks the ocean and has 255 rooms to choose from.
While you are enjoying your stay at the Sanctuary you can explore local shopping, the spa, a workout room, and the swimming pools.
You may find the average price is $286 per night. This price depends on the style of the room and the time of year.
Kiawah Island Resort
At about $257 per night, you can stay at the Kiawah Island Resort. You can choose from several different style rooms including studio, guest room, and 1 bedroom suite.
When you stay at this resort you can also enjoy the cabana with a wrap-around porch, a complimentary breakfast, and an outdoor saltwater pool.
This resort is located off the beach, so no beach views. You will, however, be within reach of a river, several restaurants, and tourist attractions.
